Technical Difficulties – Please Stand By

“So… do you think our insurance covers this?”

So.

Yeah.

I may have slightly underestimated just how much the latest patch and Cottage Living would break my ToC save. ๐Ÿคฃ

I have 2/3rds of a chapter done, but I can’t shoot the last scene, because my metaphorical studio is short-circuiting and also a little bit on fire. I’m going to wait for the mods to publish updated versions and putting my save into quarantine until then.

So. See you soon! As soon as all the fires are out. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  1. Your photos are indescribable ๐Ÿ˜‚

    I think I caught the message …
Don’t worry, I’m waiting patiently while the studio is being rebuilt.
PS: I hope all actors are unharmed.

    1. I had more fun making that than I probably should have ๐Ÿคฃ

In my mind, the whole thing is shot in one of the San Myshuno movie studios, and they’re all actors playing a part. At the end of the day, they change back into normal clothes and go home. Sometimes they have pizza parties. Other times the studio malfunctions and half of the place burns to the ground.

Don’t worry! No sims were harmed in the making of this disaster ๐Ÿคญ

    1. It’s all low-budget scenery as I am a poor peasant who relies on CC and free editing programs to do the magic for me ๐Ÿคญ The wind turbine may have been the first to burn to the ground.

Aggro may have gotten slightly zapped in the shower. ๐Ÿ˜‚

It is! I changed her hair to the Cottage Living one because I like it and it resembles my real hair more – or at least it did, until the hairdresser was way too enthusiastic with “just trimming the edges”. Darn it. Now I have to grow it out all over again. *angry grumbling*

    1. I had loads of fun making that. Dressing Aggro up for laughs has slowly become a staple in between story chapters. ๐Ÿ˜‚ also holy cow, you’re super-binging! You’ll be caught up in no time at your pace ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

      1. Yeah I’m actually a little worried at how fast I’m gobbling up these chapters. I had a lot of time reading at work in between takes as camera, grip, and electric took forever to figure out what the plum they were gonna do. (so much for planning) I was glad to have the distraction. Then I got home and didn’t want to play. I just wanted to keep reading. ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. On the bright side, there’s 11 chapters, 9 bonus bits and 4 specials left including a collaboration with Almost Eternal, so there’s still stuff to read! On the flipside, once you’re through that, I have nothing left for you ๐Ÿคฃ I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying it so much though, hehe.

Oooh what kind of work do you do/ Filmmaking? Or somewhere else that requires camera and electric? ๐Ÿค”

      3. ๐Ÿ™‚ Well, I hope you’re continuing to publish in the future, right?

And yeah, I work on film sets when I can get the work. Script Supervisor is my preferred spot. Actually, last week was my first time back after Covid, so I was really excited! (when I wasn’t bored that is hehe)

      4. Yup, I’m planning for two more arcs after this one. Although I’m pretty fickle when it comes to publishing dates, I try to post a chapter at least once a week.

Oooh, I see! Congratulations on going back! I can imagine that being exciting after being away for so long. ๐Ÿ˜Š
